Getting ahead for Christmas.

As a Stampin' Up! demonstrator I am lucky enough to get my mitts on products a month before they go on general sale. I am loving this years selection in the autumn winter seasonal catalogue. Shh, don't tell my hubby but I have already spent a small fortune and still have a wish list that I will be indulging in soon.

As a result of all the lovelies I've had delivered and with a little peek at what others have been getting up to on pinterest, I have been making plans for my Christmas card classes and thought I would share with you a sneaky peek of something I have designed and made.

If you are interested in attending my Christmas card class then you can find details here

If you would like to get a paper copy of the catalogue details of how to contact me are here

new catty makes

Sorry it's been so long since my last post. I got a new job that I have been settling into and time has escaped me.

thought I would share with you some of the projects I have been making using products from the  new catalogue (well new ish, it's been with us a couple of months now)

I've used the new in-colours for this one. These are a lot darker than I would usually use but I am loving them they are so rich.

I used the work of art stamp set for this one. you will be seeing lots more of this set in  my future projects!!

My Digital Studio

Ok ok I'm a little late to the party but I didn't want to invest in My Digital Studio (MDS) until I had technology that I could rely on to run it on. Having recently invested in a new laptop I thought it was time to give it a go. So far I have only had a play with the free trial but I am loving it and can't wait to get more features so will definitely be investing in the full download. So let me show you what I have been creating and introduce you to my gorgeous Granddaughter!

If you fancy having a go at creating some projects electronically then all you need to do is click on the icon below for the free 30 day trial and follow the instructions. It will take a while to download, this is totally normal you just need to be patient.

Also don't forget to check out the weekly deals at my online store here which are available until 11pm Tuesday. Enjoy and happy crafting!

Bubble technique

For today's team training the theme for swaps was technique which initially filled me with dread. I wanted to do something that's not been done a million times before. Here's what I decided on.

I added a drop of ink to some bubble mix and blew the bubbles towards my card stock. I love the effect you get with this, the round marbled marks and the pop splodges.

watercolour notecard

Watercolouring is really on trend at the moment so I thought I would show you what I've been making.

I love the zoo review stamp set and it lends itself perfectly to watercolouring. For this make I used the blender pens with my ink pads and have sponged the edges to soften them.

I also have some exciting news to share with you. You can now shop for Stampin' Up! products 24 hours a day and have them delivered right to your door. You can either visit my store http://bethferrey.stampinup.net or click on a icon from the products below that I used for the above make.

Happy crafting!

Happy Mother's Day

I have been fancying making a card in a box ever since I saw one on Monica's blog and thought that the time was right for my lovely Mummy on Mother's day.

Her favourite flower is the sunflower so I used the best of flowers stamp set to decorate the card, here's a closer look at the beautiful water coloured blooms

I also made a coordinating envelope thanks to my trusty punch board

And even gave this some sunflower love :-)
I am planning to add a card in a box project to one of my classes so if you fancy making one too you can contact me to book your place.

training swap

Tonight I'm spending some time with some other demonstrators getting lots of inspiration and crafty ideas. Swapping is always part of our get together and I thought I would share with you my offering.

The poppy is from the happy watercolour stamp set which is a key part of my next class. This is fully booked on the 5th but there is still space available on the 12th April if you fancy joining me.
